Covid-19 Return to Training at our New Home

Dear Members

Hope all your families are well.

We are getting closer to returning to our new home at Ponte park. This could be anytime from 16th of April to start of May the latest, and we’re all very excited to see you all in the new facilities.

Due to the building being brand new and the site being much bigger, unfortunately the cost of pool hire has gone up which will increase the fees of our sessions. The fees are still under discussion in the club. However, we are in much more practical and better suited conditions than before. We will do our best to keep costs to a minimum. The equipment they have there are brand new and we have much more than we did previously. We are looking forward to growing our community and offering more for our swimmers.

Covid-19 has made this transition into our new home complex. As before we can only have so many in the water. Luckily, we are now allowed spectators for the sessions. This is 1 parent/carer per swimmer/s. Of course, facemask will have to be worn around the building and whilst watching. The changing rooms are very spacious, so they are available for use, but we still recommend swimmers come with their gear on ready so we can start our sessions as soon as we can.

There is plenty of parking which is free around the site.

This will be a phased return, starting with just one session a week on Fridays. The time is still under discussion, but we want an idea of which time would be suitable to you guys.
To start with we have the option of 6pm – 8pm or 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
You can either reply to this message with your thoughts or vote on a poll which will be posted on our Facebook group.

Eventually times will return to normal and our sessions will increase to 4 days hopefully. We will keep you all notified via Email, Social Media and our News section on our website.

Last note.
Anyone wanting to return to training who has not yet paid their annual Swim England fees (CATS 1&2) need to do so to return to club pool and land training. Let us know if you need any help.

We are excited to see you all very soon!
