Competitions

Gala Coordinator: Anna Cheesbrough

The below competitions are selected carefully by the head coach to aid the development of our swimmers. To enter a competition, click on the links provided and fill in the Google form with all of the relevant information. Once filled in, Anna will collate the entries and enter the meet on your behalf, keeping you informed of accepted/rejected entries via the email address we have on file. The swimmers’ latest times are taken from the Rankings database and used to enter the competition, providing the time is within the qualifying/cut off times determined by the meet directors (this is not Marlins and it is nothing Marlins can control). Most of the competitions we select will allow us to submit ‘No time’ or use a ‘best guess’ based on internals galas or training times if there are no times on the Rankings database.

Swimmers wishing to enter external competitions must have a ‘Club Compete’ membership. If the swimmer does not have a ‘Club Compete’ membership then they cannot race in external competitions. If the swimmer is ‘Club Train’ but wishes to compete, please fill in a form anyway and contact us to upgrade from ‘Club Train’ to ‘Club Compete’. All of our internal club galas are informal and therefore the swimmer can have either ‘Club Train’ or ‘Club Compete’ membership to take part in these events.

Note: Entries into County, Regional, and National Competitions will be done separately to this process and we encourage anyone with qualifying times to endeavour to compete at these events.
